Lastly, if enjoying the light of the future means washing away the darkness of the past, then a beautiful outdoor space must include a rooftop pool. One hotel that provides the bar, lounge and pool is the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan.
After undergoing a multimillion dollar renovation earlier this year, this downtown oasis is a unique escape for guests and locals alike. Surrounded by plush seating and chic neon art, guests can take in unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline and Hudson River while enjoying innovative, refreshing cocktails and elevated bites. Think: Pekin Duck Drumettes, a riff on your standard chicken wings. The heated rooftop pool is open to guests until 9pm and the rooftop to guests until 4am. Opening next week is the hotel's highly anticipated Omakase pop up bar, Saishin at the Gansevoort Rooftop, in partnership with rapidly expanding Kissaki. Saishin will be an 850 sq. foot space with seating for up to 50 including a 16 seat omakase bar, running from July through January 2022.
