Gansevoort Meatpacking Hotel Unveils Multimillion Dollar Rebrand and Renovation

The iconic Gansevoort Meatpacking Hotel, which is credited for putting the Meatpacking District on the map almost two decades ago, is unveiling a multimillion renovation and rebrand. The demographic of guests that partied with the legendary hotel are now returning with their children.

The hotel’s 1,700-square-foot lobby and common area feature cutting-edge art and design. Designed by Achenbaum and the hotel’s Creative Director and Designer Olivier Weppe, in collaboration with Gidich + Sepúlveda Architecture, space is characterized by warm wood finishes and brass paired with a porcelain tiled floor in a concrete tone – a nod to the neighborhood’s iconic cobblestone streets.
